From September 6th to October 5th, 2021, as part of the "Progressio-Integrated Development of the Pomeranian Medical University" project, a series of training sessions for our teaching staff took place at the PUM Test Examination Center in Szczecin.

During the two-day workshops, participants gained knowledge on how to correctly formulate questions according to syllabi, as well as how to utilize innovative teaching and student examination techniques. The workshops were led by Beata Buraczyńska-Andrzejewska, MD, PhD, Head of the Center for Innovative Educational Techniques in Poznań, and Magdalena Pankowska, PhD, coordinator of the exam tests on the Olat platform. The workshops were also supplemented by a technical training session led by CET IT specialist Sławomir Rauchfleisch, MSc, Eng., who provided a presentation explaining the work of the Center. He demonstrated how to technically structure questions before submitting them and detailed why it's so important to strictly adhere to the guidelines for preparing questions. Sebastian Dajnowiec, meanwhile, assisted the instructors and took several photo sessions with the participants, documenting the participation of University employees in the training.

In addition to the knowledge provided by Dr. Beata Buraczyńska, the teaching staff participated in the practical portion of the workshop, during which, at the beginning, the instructors themselves introduced the exam questions, which they then had to answer in an exam prepared by the instructors. By completing the prepared test, they—who are normally examiners—were able to briefly experience the experience of students taking the final exam and see what the exam looks like from the examinee's perspective. After the exam, Dr. Magda Pankowska provided a detailed discussion of exam statistics, highlighting key elements and highlighting areas to pay particular attention to.

After the workshop, all participants received certificates of completion.
