FAQ - questions and answers

Computer-based examination is a form of test exam conducted on the LMS Moodle examination platform. The examiner prepares a set of test questions, which is then uploaded to the platform by a CET employee. Upon arrival at the exam, students log in and complete the test on a computer. The parameters of the test (number of questions, type of questions, and the time students have to complete the test) are determined by the Head of the unit organizing the exam. After completing the test, the student is given access to the questions and correct answers.

The room for the Examination is booked by filling in the form available at
https://cet.pum.edu.pl/en/forms/booking-an-appointment. Please check the booking calendar first to determine room availability. After filling in the form, it is sent directly from the website, which is automatically sent to TEC. The Centre then contacts the Examination leader to clarify all the details, which confirms the booking and completes the room reservation process. Finally, the booking is placed on the calendar on the TEC website. 

PLEASE NOTE!

• The order of booking is determined by the time the application is received at TEC.
• Reservations can only be made by employees of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.
• TEC examination hours are Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 08:00 - 15:00; Wed: 08:00 - 17:30
• At the end of each Examination, TEC prepares the Centre for the next Examination during an hour’s break; the preparation activities include, airing and disinfecting the room, changing rooms and toilets.

Every Student has an automatically created account in the ProAkademia system and is assigned to an Examination platform on this basis. It is not necessary to fill in additional forms to access this platform.

1. Modifying the IT system shall be strictly prohibited. It is particularly prohibited to modify the system, the system components as well as the software installed on computers, including also the installation of unauthorised software.
2. It shall be prohibited to connect devices, including data carriers, to the computers located in the Positions and to use their optical drives.
3. It shall be prohibited to write down, copy, record or otherwise document the Examination questions.
4. The carrying, storing and consumption of food and drink, with the exception of water, is strictly prohibited in the Examination Room.
5. It shall be prohibited to bring the following items to the Examination Room:
   • outerwear, including jackets, coats, etc;
   • all electronic devices (except those used in the treatment of chronic diseases, such as blood glucose meters, personal insulin pumps or other drug pumps, CGM and FGM systems), in particular video and audio recorders, electronic notebooks, mobile phones, transmission devices, computers, microcomputers, storage media, radios, mp3 players, mp4 players, etc;
   • electronic and analogue watches;
   • bags, handbags, rucksacks and other luggage;
   • books, teaching aids, notes and notebooks, pads, sheets and stationery;
   • other items as determined by the Personnel responsible for conducting the Examination.
6. The items mentioned in section 5 shall be left by the Student in the locker assigned to him or her in the cloakroom.
7. You must not leave your seat during the Examination. In particular, walking around the Examination Room, approaching other Positions, disturbing order.
8. Taking notepads and additional materials that were prepared for the Student at the desk before the Examination out of the Examination Room shall be prohibited.
9. During Examinations, it is forbidden for Students to communicate or possess electronic devices enabling them to communicate with other persons at a distance or to use materials and teaching aids not permitted by the Examiners, in particular those mentioned in section 5. In the event that a student is found to possess devices, materials or aids referred to in section 1 during an examination, the student shall be asked to leave the room and receive a failing grade for the given examination or assessment period, as well as any further consequences laid down in the Study Regulations.

In order for the mind to work efficiently and to reconcile the heat emitted from the computers, the room temperature is maintained at around 21^oC. Please take this into account when choosing your outfit for examination day.

Each student, after being assigned to a given test, receives a notification with information about the details of the upcoming attempt. In the absence of notification, contact CET via the contact form.
